Set up Payments
In order to receive payment from your backers, you must have an account with Stripe. Stripe takes care of the credit card processing and getting your payments from your backers to you. Stripe supports a growing list of currencies and a variety of payment types.
To connect Stripe (Required):
- On the menu on the left, click Set Up Payments.
- Click Connect with Stripe.
- If you already have a Stripe account, click the Sign in link.
- If you don’t have a Stripe account, enter the information required by Stripe and create your account.
- Verify the currency is correct.
To connect with PayPal (optional):
- Click the Connect with PayPal button
- Follow the steps to log into PayPal
- If you don't have a PayPal account, click Sign up and create your account.
Note: Paypal transaction fees will be charged via invoices retroactively.
Confirm Project Settings
Confirm your project settings including your project name, the custom URL you want to use, how often you want to receive email updates, your team members, and payments.
To adjust your settings:
- On the menu on the left, click Tools > Settings.
- Navigate to the relevant tab.
Set Important Dates
Set the dates for different milestones in your project. Your best estimate is fine for now.
To edit your dates:
- On the menu on the left, click 1. Connect > Important Dates.
- Adjust and needed and click 'Set Dates' to save.
Review Pricing
Review your cost and make a payment. View pricing details here.
Note that payment is required in order to submit for a Setup Review and send surveys. Your campaign fee will not be calculated until your campaign has come to a close.
